ജനുവരി 16 മുതല്‍ രാജ്യത്ത് കോവിഡ് വാക്‌സിനേഷന്‍ ആരംഭിക്കും. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വാക്‌സിനേഷന്‍ പ്രക്രിയയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നടക്കുക.

ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ മൂന്നുകോടി ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് വാക്‌സിന്‍ നല്‍കും. ആരോഗ്യ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും കോവിഡ് മുന്നണിപ്പോരാളികളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നതാണ് ആദ്യഘട്ടം.

തുടര്‍ന്ന് 27 കോടിയോളം ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് വാക്സിന്‍ നല്‍കും. ഇതില്‍ 50 വയസ്സിനു മുകളില്‍ പ്രായമുള്ളവരും 50 വയസ്സിനു താഴെ പ്രായമുള്ള അസുഖബാധിതരും ഉള്‍പ്പെടും.
